Born and raised in a small rural town in Minnesota, I earned a B.S. in Pharmacy at Drake University in Iowa and an MBA at Benedictine University in Illinois. I lived and worked in the Chicago, Illinois area for several years, and raised my son Ryan there. The Pacific Northwest has been my home since 2001.
I enjoy sailing, kayaking, and all things creative, from concerts to plays to artistry of all kinds. Quilting and textiles are my personal medium; I’ve been quilting since 1983.
I believe each of us is called to give freely and fully of the gifts we are given. After 28 years as a pharmacist, I stepped out of the medical profession in 2004 in search of ways to give and serve that spoke more completely to my heart and passion. That step led to volunteering in construction with Habitat for Humanity locally, and for 4 and 6-month terms overseas in Ireland and Hungary,
respectively. The experiences with Habitat were life changing, at once joyous, challenging, exasperating, and soul filling. Through them the realization that God was calling me to yet another level of ministry truly began to make itself known.
In 2011 I became a licensed local pastor and completed the Local Pastor Course of Study at Claremont School of Theology. I have served the Pacific Parish churches (Bay Center, South Bend & Raymond), and Willapa in Pacific County. I have also served as a chaplain with homeless adult services in Tacoma, and as a hospice chaplain in Kitsap, Pierce and Pacific Counties. All have further deepened
and strengthened my understanding of mission and sense of call.
I believe ministry is about individual and shared experiences such as these. It is about meeting one another where we are, and journeying together where God leads. I am in awe of God's grace in leading me to this place and am honored to continue this journey with you.

As the body of Christ, we are all connected,
and as we connect, there is that deep knowing
that regardless of culture, background,
belief or circumstance, we are one family in the world.
As we invest in each other, we invest in ourselves. We are one song.
